About me

Hi, my name is Steve Brown and I am a full time professional Family & Civil Celebrant in Staffordshire.

Originally born in Aston, Birmingham my family moved to Sutton Coldfield when I was around four years old and that is the area where I really grew up.

At twenty-one a job promotion saw me move to Worcestershire. This was a very happy home to me until I moving back north to Staffordshire in 2000 where I now live, just a few miles outside Lichfield with my wonderful Wife Karen and our Chocolate Labrador, Max who does his very best to keep us both fit!

We are proud grandparents to Molly, George, Georgia and Tristan and love spending time with them all.

When I’m not working, I enjoy watching Rugby, Singing, and Walking.

I played Rugby for around 24 years and just love the game. I sang as a top tenor with the Canoldir Choir and will happily belt out a hymn.

Karen and I love the outdoors, hill walking and enjoying the peace, beauty and solitude that this brings …apart from Max of course…he doesn’t understand calm… He only does excited.

Prior to me beginning my career in 2003 and my formal qualification as a professional Celebrant in 2014 I had been in sales and client services in both the print and conference & events industries and worked in management up to board level owning for some years my own Conference and Events business

All in highly competitive and highly service orientated businesses working to and achieving tight deadlines.

Conference and Events especially requires an understanding and empathy with the client to achieve just what they want. Some of the events I worked on had substantial six figure budgets, so you can only image the meticulous planning involved in those and that is a skill I can bring to your ceremony.

All of those skills learned over many years in writing, presenting and producing play an important part in my role as a celebrant and bring with them the assurance that you and your ceremony are in great hands.
